June 2, This is an informative guide about the different mechanics of the stat Armor Penetration, especially for Fury warriors. The main focus of the guide is raiding, but most of it applies to PvP too. I'm making this guide because there seems to be a lot of confusion about ArP and its mechanics.

Cap , soft cap, or capture can refer to several different things depending on the context. Relative to battlegrounds or world PvP, "cap" may be short for "capture," the capturing of an objective or object, such as a graveyard , flag , or tower. Many of these objectives require being physically held, such as a flag, or maintained dominance, in the case of a tower. Can also be used to mean killing a flag carrier.
Scattered Shots: Hunter stat caps: hit, crit, haste, and armor penetration
Ok, now the question is, how does this effect hunters specifically. It would seem to me that a survival hunter is still better off stacking Agility, AP, Haste before worrying about Armor Pent. The above is so wrong. The term huntard comes to mind. Hit only until you have enough.
As of Patch 4. Armor penetration sometimes abbreviated ArP or called armor pen is a value appearing on many talents and abilities that indicates the percentage of armor that will be ignored by an attack. ArP is unique in that the more ArP you have, the greater the increase in damage becomes.
